Supply Chain Sustainability School
Why be sustainable?
GCL recognise that sustainability represents both significant challenges and opportunities for UK industry. With increased legislation calling for sustainability in all UK buildings, clients and stakeholders are exerting more pressure for their building to comply with new regulations. This is why we are delighted to be working with the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
The market for a greener, ethical and more sustainable supply chain is greater than ever. In 2009 approximately 43% of the UK’s carbon emissions came from buildings. Poor waste management and inefficient use of resources has had significant impacts on the environment.
Why we work with the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
GCL are now working with the supply chain sustainability school to improve the sustainability of UK buildings. Whether you are a new build or refurbishing an existing building, what you do can have a significant effect on reducing environmental and social impacts.
The School represents a common approach to developing sustainability competence in the supply chain. It is a free resource available to any supplier, and is part of a continued commitment to lead the industry into a brighter, more sustainable future.
