Monarch Court was a redundant care home that was given a new lease of life. It would be Hackney’s first hostel for homeless young people, and the first new youth hostel to open in London for years. With the number of young homeless people in London doubling in two years, the 87 bedrooms would help over 2,000 homeless young people get their lives back on track over the next 15 years.
Established London builders Kind & Co were appointed as the main contractor for this large-scale conversion. In order for the complex project to run smoothly, they required a single electrical and structured cabling partner for the building system infrastructure.
